If you are missing teeth, bridges might be the right solution for you. Replacing missing teeth is vital to maintain your overall health. With a natural look and feel, bridges help our clients maintain their oral health while giving them the confidence to smile. Have questions about the process? Just ask! We’re here to make your experience as comfortable as possible.

Bridges use surrounding teeth or implants to anchor the ends of the bridge with crowns, while the pontic, a false tooth, replaces the missing teeth. While you may receive a temporary bridge during the process, bridges are designed to be a more permanent solution to replacing a lost tooth. As bridges are cemented in place, they look and feel very natural.

A bridge can restore your smile, repair your ability to chew or speak, maintain the shape of your face and distribute the force of your bite. Bridges also prevent your remaining teeth from drifting out of their original position. As the process involves a few steps, we’ll walk you through everything at the outset and every step of the way, so you’ll know exactly what to expect.

During the first dental bridge visit, you will have the abutment teeth prepared. This involves recontouring the abutting teeth to allow room for a crown. Impressions of your teeth are made, which will serve as a model from which the bridge, pontic, and crowns will be made by a dental lab. You can expect to receive a temporary bridge to protect the area before the final bridge is inserted. We’ll work to colour match the bridge with the rest of your teeth to make it look seamless and natural. The final result: a bridge that keeps your mouth healthy and happy!
